Name of the Patient : Abc Xyz V. Galmn / M / 20 yrs.
Referred by : Dr. Abc Xyzah.
Examination : M.R.I. of Both Hips.

CLINICAL PROFILE :

H/O injury to the right ankle 10 days back with fever, inability to flex right hip joint and pain in the right hip and ankle since then.

EXAMINATION :

M.R.I of both hip joints was performed using the following parameters:

5 mm thick T1 Weighted and T2 Weighted (with fat saturation) axial images.

5 mm thick T1 Weighted and STIR coronal images.

5 mm thick proton density sagittal images.

OBSERVATION :

The epiphysis of the femoral head and the acetabulum reveal normal signal intensity bilaterally. There is no obvious bony destruction or erosions noted. The articular cartilages are unremarkable.

A right hip joint effusion is noted. Minimal fluid is also noted in the left hip joint.

The musculature surrounding both the hip joints and the visualized pelvis is normal.

IMPRESSION :

A right hip joint effusion may be consistent with synovitis.

No other significant abnormality is detected on this study.
